Setting Sun Stable was established by owners Dana and Helen Weeman in 1986, when Dana purchased Shylocks Golden Heir a two year old registered Tennessee Walking Horse Stallion as a gift for his wife Helen.  

Setting Sun Stable a family run farm is now comprised of two locations in Kennebunk and Saco, offering over 75 acres of fields and forest for you and your horse to enjoy in the gorgeous countryside of Southern Maine.  

Our stable offers you a custom fit boarding experience, including layups and rehabilitation services, senior needs care for your retired equine companion, breeding services, mare care, foal watch and foaling services, recreational riding, and riding lesson programs. Visitors are always welcome.
